Amos Slade

So, I have been [nearly] begging Kasey and Kaia to do a cover of “Jar of Hearts” by Christina Perri since I saw Billy and Kathryn dance to it on So You Think You Can Dance.
Long story short, I gave them [moreso Kasey because he had to learn to play it] a deadline at the Anberlin show on Tuesday of Christmas, and they definitely lived up to their promise.

Anyways, I love Kaia’s voice, and they did a beyond fantastic job with this song.

Please post this on your own blog, Twitter, Facebook, etc… Please.

Alright y’all! My good friend Kasey Eldred is auditioning for Glee, and it would be awesome if you gave him a gold star on his video!

You need a Myspace account in order to vote. If you don’t have one, it’ll take two seconds to sign up for one. It’d mean a lot!

Head First In The River

New Envy On The Coast song!
Go here to listen to it.

You can either purchase it on iTunes, or wait for the album to drop on March 30th.
Try and avoid illegally downloading it, this band is beyond talented and deserves better than that.

Find Chelsea

Hopefully posting this blog will bring more people together to find Chelsea.
Chelsea King went missing on February 25th in Rancho Bernardo, CA (San Diego), and is thought to have gone on a run.

For more information, click here.
If you could, please post the link above on your Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, blog, etc…

My thoughts are with Chelsea’s family and friends during this tough time. We’re all pulling for a safe return.

Internet In The Running for a Nobel Peace Prize

The Internet has made it onto the list of nominees for a 2010 Nobel Peace Prize.
Yes, the Internet.

Wired magazine’s publishers say that the Internet is able to “destroy hate and conflict and [to] propagate peace and democracy”.
Obviously, they don’t see the numerous hateful comments on Myspace and Facebook.

Listen: I Will Be King

Alright, this is semi-weird since I went to school with these guys [they're a year younger], but I can’t deny that they’re pretty awesome.
I Will Be King hails from Portland, OR and consists of Josiah Marshall [vocals and bass], Brennan Hickok [guitar], and Julien Ehrlich [drums].
They currently have two songs on their Myspace, so be sure to check those out. They also have a show tomorrow [November 21st] at Hawthorne Theater in Portland, OR. Show starts at 7 PM and tickets $10 at the door. You can also contact the band and get tickets through them for $9. I, personally, would buy through the band since it looks good when they can draw a crowd themselves.
Anyways, I really dig their sound, and their group shot is pretty awesome as well.

Chris Brown ‘Fan-Appreciation’ Tour

Woman-beater has announced a ‘fan-appreciation’ tour that is slated to run a month and visit 19 US cities.
This tour is intended to thank fans for standing by Chris and supporting him.
He announced this tour the same day ex-girlfriend Rihanna released her new single ‘Russian Roulette’.
If any of you care, you can go here for tour dates.

I can see a lot of people boycotting [for lack of better word] this tour and NOT supporting the woman-beater as he tries to grasp what’s left of his popularity.

Copeland Breaks Up

Copeland is no more.
I don’t know what more to say, except that this band was uh-maize-ing.
I knew I should’ve seen them live when I had the chance.

Read their announcement here.
